Next, we went to see Sea Lions. After sea lions we got hot dogs for lunch. When we were done with lunch we went on a boat tour under the Golden Gate Bridge and around Alcatraz. The water was really choppy so the boat rocked and rolled. We got to the bridge we were really excited. Did you know the bridge is one and a quarter miles long? Also the bridge has enough cable on it to wrap around the world three times! When we were done with the Golden Gate Bridge we went around Alcatraz. Only five people escaped from Alcatraz island, but they are thought to be drowned. Alcatraz has only one jail as its equivalent in the USA. That equivalent is in Florence Colorado. Alcatraz was the last stop in the jail line. Only the worst of the worst were here. When we got back to land we went and saw sourdough bread being made. After we bought some bread we went back on the cable car. We got in our car and drove home. We had a quick dinner and went to bed. It had been a fun day.
Great pictures of my favorite city by the bay! Glad you got to ride the cable cars....were you guys scared going down those hills? Now your mom has to take you down the crookedest street in the world while pulling the trailer! And you have to eat some crabs at Fisherman's Wharf. Also fun to bicycle over the Golden Gate Bridge and Golden Gate Park - I think all the rhododendrons should be in bloom.. Maybe a baseball game? And don't forget to visit Menlo Park !! I am very envious. Have fun!
