That is me in a tunle there were three tunles! The next picher is me and my family on the trail. The next pitcher is me by a hoodoo a hoodoo is a legend. They say that they are bad people that are frozen in time. That afternoon we drove to Zion it took two howrrs. The last picher is of me😀Katie😀 and Sean😀 at Zion. At Zion, there was a wild, wild rapid River, and Katie was going really deep in it and she fell into it so she grabbed onto the side before she went down the waterfall.and I sat down in the water at the sand bar because it felt really good. And we played soldier.
Hi Grace: Thanks for the great story and pictures! I do have one question though. Did you get in a fight or fall off your bicycle in Arches Nat. park and knock out your front teeth? Your smile looks like you need to see a dentist!
ReplyDeleteI am also a little concerned that your big sister fell into a wild, raging river and just about went over a water fall. WHERE WERE YOUR MOTHER AND FATHER!!!! I will hang up and wait for an answer!
Love, Grandpa T
I love both Bryce Canyon and Zion and will be going back to see them in June with my sisters. :) Thanks for all the great writing, Grace. Your travels are phenomenal!

Hahaha. I thought that "Katie falling into a wild, wild River and almost getting swept over a waterfall" might get a reaction! Keep in mind that these are suburban Illinois kids, so wild wild rivers and waterfalls might have slightly different definitions. I also think that (as usual) Grace was the only one that really listened to my eloquent and stirring lecture about how "this is a wild, wild River in the middle of the wild mountains, and we need to respect the force of the water that has carved all these magnificent canyons and STAY OUT OF THE MIDDLE OF THE STREAM". Well, that lasted about 10 minutes.
ReplyDeleteDad, if you want to get really nervous, Liam and Katie are hiking Angels Landing right now. (Sean and I are planning on doing it this afternoon.). I am getting gray hair just thinking about it . . . .
Can't wait to hear the reactions !!! The kids will have to write to Uncle Brian about their experiences! Great fun!!! Probably need more exclamation points, Jim!!!

Grace, the river adventure sounds refreshing and fun. Grandpa Don wants me to ask you if you took " his Bunny" when you went to to wild wild river. He says to keep Bunny safe in the RV. XXOO, Nana MO'S
ReplyDeleteHi Grace,
ReplyDeleteThis is your mystery lover friend Stephanie! I like a good adventure but I too am very glad you managed to avoid going down the waterfall with your sister, Katie!
I love hearing about all of the animals you have seen on your trip. So far deer, long horned mountain sheep, and what else? I think I am missing one -- maybe buffalo? Or any eagles or hawks?
Also, all of the climbing through arches and tunnels looks really fun to me (even though I can be kind of clutsy sometimes and would need to be super, super careful not to fall myself!)
Your Grandpa Kevin is really excited to think of you living in your RV mostly at night it sounds like and then going out and doing fun and interesting things all day!
What do you think Luke likes best about the trip so far? There are some good pictures of him too!
Love,
Steph
